About this training

In this 30-hour training we start with the foundations and gradually build toward intermediate and even advanced poses and variations. You’ll learn how to warm up properly, how to strengthen specific parts of the body, safe and effective ways to enter (and exit 😉) poses, how to lighten or deepen postures, and so much more.

Alongside countless drills, strength-building exercises, and techniques, you will learn the following:

Path 1:

Arm Balances: Crow, Side Crow, Eka Pada Koundinyasana I and II, Flying Pigeon, Flying Crow, Firefly, Grasshopper, Peacock, Eight Angle Pose, and many playful variations.

Path 2:

Inversions: Headstand, Tripod Headstand, Forearm Stand.

Path 3:

Handstands: Different ways to enter handstand (scissor kick, tuck, straddle, pike), basic balance technique, endurance, line work, and building toward more advanced techniques such as the Handstand Press.

Each weekend consists of one 3-hour session on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon, with each session dedicated entirely to either Arm Balances, Inversions, or Handstands.

  • Weekend 1 focuses on the fundamentals of each theme.
  • Weekend 2 applies those foundations to more intermediate skills and postures.
  • Weekend 3 explores more advanced techniques.

By the end of this training, you will know exactly what is required to practise these skills, how to train them safely, and how to progress step by step.

This 30-hour Intensive is suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced yogis. Repeating the foundations is always valuable, and you’ll learn how to work safely toward advanced postures.

Are you a registered yoga teacher? You can also use this training for your Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours.
