Life can be tough, and even more so, without the tools & self-awareness to navigate the storms. Without perspective or a sense of the bigger picture. I believe that a regular yoga practice (not only asana), is a way to both soothe the human condition and to experience discomfort in a safe way. I don’t believe in the good-vibes only approach. I believe in the all-vibes welcome – let’s deal with the ups and the downs with grace and consciousness. A regular practice can help us connect with ourselves and each other in a kinder and more generous way. I learn and teach in service of this.

Toen Camilla aan de dansacademie studeerde leerde ze yoga kennen als prachige aanvulling op dans, de asanas hielpen om het lichaam sterk, soepel en gezond te houden. Maar na een tijdje ontdekte ze dat yoga meer te bieden had dan alleen beweging. Het bood haar een innerlijke reis, kennismaking met een bewustzijn in zichzelf en daarmee een compleet andere kijk op de wereld om haar heen. Een reminder en mantra voor Camilla is “What is done in love, is done well”.
Ze is nog steeds actief als professioneel danser en heeft een liefde voor het ontdekken van creatieve en speelse manieren van beweging. Het belang dat ze voelt voor het creëren van harmonie in lichaam en geest, heeft ertoe geleid dat ze nu in opleiding is om Yoga Therapeut te worden.
Ze houdt ervan een warme, veilige en gezellige omgeving te bieden en vind het super om haar enthousiasme te delen met anderen via de lessen.

I would like to pass on the health benefits of Yin yoga. On a physical level it is important to keep our connective tissue healthy and flexible in order to remain mobile. On an energetic level, Yin yoga is a nice preparation where you can get closer to yourself and deeper into your meditation.

I teach yoga because:
I really discovered yoga when I move to the Netherlands back in 2018. I fell in love with it at the same time I fell in love with the country because it taught me to be more grounded, in the present moment and that our body can do amazing things. So I teach yoga to share all this calming, strengthening, and joy that yoga gives me.

Yin yoga for me is the perfect way to do so, in a slow pace, melting into your body, and gently feel what’s alive inside of you.
