yin & yoga nidra for better sleep
This class combines the effects of yin yoga and yoga nidra for a deeply relaxing experience, perfect before a great night sleep. The session begins with yin yoga, which is a slow paced, passive form of yoga in which we hold stretches for a longer period of time than in more dynamic classes. This allows the effect to go into the connective tissues, joints and ligaments as well as the muscles. It enhances flexibility and can help calm the mind. After that, we finish with a yoga nidra practice. Yoga nidra can be translated as yogic sleep, a form of guided meditation in which the body relaxes deeply while the mind stays aware. It has been said that 1 hour of yoga nidra is equal to 4 hours of sleep! Everyone is welcome.
