masterclass 07/11 – how to start balancing on your hands

In this masterclass you will prepare safely to start exploring the world of arm balances. We will work on some mobility and strength and play with some arm balance postures.

Arm balances are a fun and challenging addition to your asana practice. They improve your focus, your core strength, and your confidence as you keep on practicing, but they do require some strength and can be scary! If you are unsure how to start, or would like to build up on your existing arm balance practice, this masterclass is for you.

What you can expect:

  • Warm up with a vinyasa style flow
  • Focus on parts of the body that support your arm balances
  • Learn how to care for your wrists to safely place weight on them
  • Practice a few arm balances (the focus will be on crow pose), exploring variations according to your experience.
  • Acquire skills to keep building up your arm balances after the masterclass!
